MA HA Crew Profile
Harvey Rogers, born in 1973, from Gloucestershire, England, has been a keen seaman from a young age. After achieving a bachelor degree in marketing Harvey managed restaurants, food export, and was an area manager in the retail sector before leaving the UK to follow a passion for the ocean.
Teaching diving, power boating and sailing led Harvey through Thailand, Egypt, The Maldives and Bermuda to the Caribbean in 2008, where he has a lot of experience sailing and motoring throughout the Caribbean chain, and particularly The British Virgin Islands, where he, his wife "Rabbit", and dog Starboard now call home. Harvey is a certified RYA Ocean Yachtmaster for sail and power (offshore).
Having chartered in and around the BVI for many years, Harvey’s local knowledge and friendliness with everyone he meets will ensure that yours is a vacation to remember.
His dry British humour and one liners are alway sa great hit with guests, and the stories he tells about the islands and adventures at sea bring people back time and again.
Marley grew up in the Fraser valley in British Columbia and from an early age, could be found sailing with her dad on Silvermere Lake in his boat, a passion that has stayed with her throughout her life. She finished school and moved closer to the ocean to the city of Vancouver, a city well known for its diverse food scene, and Marley was part of it as soon as she arrived, helping out in the kitchen for her mother and grandfather's successful catering company. This sparked her interest and love of food, which took her to The Northwest Culinary Academy, where she learned her professional chef skills. She is always happy in the galley, and equally at home producing 5 star meals, or more simple fare, accommodating food allergies/intolerances and providing freshly cooked meals and snacks throughout your visit. She is happy to incorporate any favourites, and will discuss your food requirements with you prior to your trip.
Marley benefited from her parents taking her on many adventurous trips, where she was exposed to many different cultures and food. She caught the travel bug and knew that she wanted to live in an area where the ocean was always near. Getting more serious about sailing, Marley took her STCW, and realised that the marine industry is what she is passionate about. She travelled the Virgin Islands for four months, and fell in love with their beauty and is now excited to share her passion for this beautiful area with her guests and make their vacations exciting and memorable.
Combining her joy of sailing, her love of cooking, and her passion for the ocean as a snorkeller, and SCUBA diver make Marley an ideal Chef/First Mate on board the Ma Ha.
Harvey's calm and competent attitude makes for very relaxed sailing, and he is complimented perfectly by Marley’s overt and gregarious nature. Harvey and Marley's years of experience in providing superb customer service ensure unforgettable memories, and a truly exceptional Caribbean yacht charter experience.
Note: For any charters before November ,2016, Harvey's wife 'Rabbit' is the chef on Ma Ha. A very experienced charter chef, her training started at the Ashburton School of Cookery and completed at the prestigious Ritz Hotel in Paris

Captain Harvey & Rabbit
This was the perfect escape, and by far exceeded expectations. We had high hopes for an amazing time & experience, but were not prepared for how incredibly cool and completely tranquil it was. We loved diving the caves, Willy T's, Paddle boarding The Baths, Sandy Spit etc. We will ABSOLUTELY be back, but ONLY if we can have Harvey & Rabbit as our crew - they absolutely ROCKED! Best crew ever and unforgettable experience -
Chris & Pam
A dream come true!! Thank you so much for the most wonderful BVI experience. Everything was first class. I can't imagine how Rabbit came up with so many great eating presentations. We were truly spoiled all day every day. Harvey's knowledge of the islands and guiding us to the best sights in the islands was above and beyond. Thank you Ma Ha for a vacation above all vacations. A dream come true.
Chris & Sarah

Dear Harvey & Rabbit What a relaxing week for us! You both made us feel very comfortable and taken good care of. So accommodating. The food was fantastic, and the sailing great. We could not ask for a better week.
Linda & Dick
Our thanks for a wonderful - relaxing week. Every detail was covered, from drinks in hand to gourmet food beautifully presented. We can even attest to the calm and efficient handling of an accident on board. Rabbit with the first aid kit, and Harvey guiding us to the nearest hospital - even preparing a bag of sandwiches, water and a coat for the cold ER. We returned to ice cold 'Painkillers"! The weather was perfect and smiles all around as we sail our last day - and appreciate the great vacation.

You could not have been any better at what you do. Two great people doing everything you could for your guests. Wonderful food and SIX star service. Thanks for your wonderful experience.

I'll make this short and sweet. This week has been one of the best of my life. Your teamwork, character, and energy was delightfully contagious, making this week non-stop fun. I am so grateful for our time together and look forward to the day we reconnect and see each other again.

This week has been one to remember. Together you two made it fun, relaxing, and filling. Seriously, I didn't think it was possible to eat so well at sea. Your dry sense of humour, and ability to manage Karl and I made the trip for us. I hope to see you in the future and wish you the best of luck in the New Year! If you are ever in Virginia or Atlantic Canada, give me a ring.
Elling & Karl
To the dream team.....Thank you for making Ma Ha feel like home for the Hantho family. The memories we've made this week will last us a lifetime and leave us smiling and laughing time and again. We are beyond grateful for all that you did to make us feel at home, relaxed, safe, and very very full. You deserve an award of some kind for being the absolute best at sea - it has been a privilege to sail with you into 2016. Thank you for everything.
To the British Duo.Thank you for making this week unforgettable! We could not have asked for a better crew...seriously!! You were both so accommodating, helpful, funny and beautiful people and I wish you guys all the best. Thousands of boats traverse the BVI, yet one stands out among the fleet. THE MA HA! Harvey and Rabbit turn the Ma Ha into a 5 star floating property. Harvey takes pride in his sailing skills, guided tours and knowledge of the BVI. Rabbit spoiled us with her tremendous meals and desserts. What really made the trip so amazing is they both shared conversations and laughs with us the entire week. Great vacations are made through meeting great people. We were fortunate enough to meet Harvey & Rabbit, who took a nice boat and beautiful location and made it a great vacation. Thank you! Steve & Mary
What a truly amazing trip! From the beautiful Ma Ha, and ideal weather to the spectacular scenery, this vacation exceeded our expectations. However, what made this week really wonderful was Harvey & Rabbit. They spoiled us the entire week. Rabbit made the most delicious meals that were works of art, and Harvey bought us to amazing spots on the island that we probably wouldn’t have seen on our own. He shared stories of the areas and even took us on some of our hikes. Words cannot describe how fortunate we feel, and how much we have enjoyed this trip. Thank you Harvey & Rabbit for making this the best vacation we have ever been on. Bert & Laura

I feel so fortunate to have stumbled into the good luck of being under the care of Harvey & Rabbit for my first charter experience. Their impeccable service, calm, cool, collected manner no matter the circumstance, and exceptional good humor made for a perfect match for our group, and enhanced our trip more than we ever thought 2 strangers could. We are leaving with full bellies and full hearts, completely spoiled by Rabbit’s phenomenal cooking and Harvey’s island expertise. The gorgeous Ma Ha was a most welcoming and excellent home for us during our adventure through The Caribbean. Thank you so much! Steph, NY
What an amazing experience! Having never been on a chartered boat before, I truly had no idea what to expect. What a pleasure to land on the best boat with the best crew in The Caribbean. Harvey & Rabbit are a great team – the demeanor is welcoming, accommodating, friendly and very helpful in navigating all that the Caribbean has to offer. Harvey’s ‘cocktails of the day’ (along with Rabbit’s famous banana daiquiri) were a surprise and a major hit! What can be said about Rabbit’s cooking? Every meal was exceptional from the terrific breakfasts and the awesome lunches (love that burger!) to the wonderful 3 – course dinners and oh the ice-creams! The Ma Ha is a glorious vessel to have the honor to be aboard. My only hope is to have the opportunity to board again in the future. Thank you Ma Ha! Thank you Rabbit! Thank you Harvey! Dylan, NY
It has been nothing short of euphoric while at see on the Ma Ha. I cannot imagine a better crew than Harvey & Rabbit. The sea was a perfect blue, and the company easy. The cocktail of the day was a wonderful surprise each sunset, and Rabbit’s food may have spoiled us for life. All days will be a little less bright, and a little less warm as we venture home. Thanks. Connor NY.
This trip has exceeded my expectations far and above. Thank you both so much for the gracious hospitality that made our trip so wonderful. This is our first charter experience, and we would love to do another one going with you both as our crew again. Harvey’s warmth and wit plus Rabbit’s expert culinary skill makes this experience beyond amazing! I’ll sure be thinking and dreaming about the crystal clear open water, dazzling sun, and glistening night sky for months when I am back in Brooklyn. Thank you so much for being part of this amazing experience. Cheers! Judy, NY.

What a fabulous week! Thank you Harvey & Rabbit for making this trip one that our family will remember for a lifetime. You took care of our every need – bringing us the smoothest most beautiful anchorages, showing us magical snorkeling reefs and pristine white sandy beaches, cooking one 5 star gourmet meal after another, always offering a drink or a towel and tidying up after us, and even providing the perfect Caribbean weather (out-sailing any storm we saw). The boat was in terrific shape, and your level of service and attention to detail made us feel like we were at a very high-end resort. It was a real treat to spend a week on Ma Ha. Thank you for making it so special. We hope to see you again here in the islands, or if you ever visit San Francisco.
We have become spoiled – spoiled beyond words!! Having bare boated many years, often with sleepless nights, worried about the anchor, or sweating over a hot stuffy stove, the Ma Ha and her crew of two, Harvey and Rabbit (Cara), have ruined us. Our standard of sailing will now be measured by the unbelievable cooking of Rabbit and her array of three course meals, her incomparable snacks, and an endless supply of novel and tasty ice creams. Our unflappable captain Harvey ‘No Worries’ Rogers sailed to our every whim, served an endless supply of tasty and refreshing libations and was always ready with a water toy, snorkel or towel for our every activity and endless swimming. Even familiar anchorages became new and novel with Harvey and Rabbit’s local knowledge and friendly connections. Ma Ha’s beautiful state rooms, ample living space and numerous lounge spaces made for a relaxing vacation filled with great joys, satisfying sails and endless water sports! Thank you Harvey & Rabbit!! Peter S.
If you can’t already tell, we had an amazing time on Ma Ha this week. The fabulous boat and all its fun toys were only a small part of what made our vacation so special. The two people that had the biggest impact on our lovely experience were our amazing captain and chef – Harvey & Rabbit. You two made sure that we had the best food, fun and sun possible, so thank you! I’ve loved being on your boat and hope that I can make it back again. If not though, good luck and thanks again for an unbelievable trip in the BVI!
Harvey & Rabbit
Thank you for an absolutely perfect week. You showed us so many great places and opened doors for fantastic opportunities. One of my favourite trips was the tour through the Baths – AMAZING!! So lucky to end this trip with 2 people we now call family. Please come visit!! Thank you for making sure we were all cared for with such detail and grace – Holly & Loren Rochester NY
Dearest Harvey & Rabbit
It is with greatest sadness that our adventure with you is over. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality and making our epic family vacation PERFECT! While it is difficult to narrow down all the great experiences, meals, snorkelling, skiing and relaxing were top of my list. We hope that we can repay them when you decide to come to New Hampshire so we can do the same for you. With much love – Tom & Barb. Rye, NH
Dear Harvey & Rabbit
I can’t begin to thank you enough for a most fantastic vacation. To see the joy in my family’s faces is wonderful. Your temperament with the children was nothing short of extraordinary. We will remember this trip forever. Katy
