WORLD'S END Crew Profile
Captain Nicole Huissoud brings an impressive nautical background to her command of World's End.
Born in the Mediterranean town of Hyeres, France, she grew up along and was always drawn to the sea. Deliveries and charters have taken Nicole to many foreign ports, including the Caribbean, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Morocco, The Canaries, The Azores, Bermuda, England, The Seychelles, and Croatia...to name a few!
Having graduated in studies of Earth Science, Math, and Physics, Nicole quickly set off for the life of a voyager. Her South of France location gave her access to crew positions in Regattas such as the Tour de France, the Nioularge, and the Grand Soleil Cup. Nicole has completed ten trans-Atlantic crossings, was the first to cross from the French mainland to Corsica on a Hobie Cat (!) and crewed on a record holding Formula 40 race! In her well rounded career, she skippered motor yacht for day charters between San Tropez and Monaco, which gives her exceptional knowledge of the South of France coast.
Nicole's career as Captain for the last 10 years has had her running both catamarans and motor yachts. Summering in the Mediterranean ports, wintering in the Caribbean Islands, and many a delivery or passage between seasons.
Captain Huissoud fits in well with Master Chef Rene and mate/steward Jules (himself a licensed captain as well) to round out the crew . Besides her sea time, Nicole worked as an event organizer for the Yacht Club Monaco (Prada Challenge 2001) and as a dock attendant for the Port of Hyeres. She has also been base manager and yacht sales agent for Hyeres based companies and had her own import company.
Captain Nicole is as well an accomplished snow skier and speaks English and Spanish as well as her native French. She looks forward to welcoming you on board World's End for a fantastic week of sailing, touring, enjoyment, and relaxation!
