Accommodation

The owner's bedroom extends across the yacht's full beam with a king-sized bed positioned in the centre facing aft. As in the main saloon, the satin-finished cherrywood is set off with light coloured fabrics, with a more lavish look and feel. Over the bed a large button-backed panel rests above the bedhead which is flanked by curtains; scatter cushions in rich silks finish off the effect.

A small adjacent saloon is furnished with a mini bar, a desk and a plasma television screen, with two armchairs and a coffee table set beside the portholes to give an impression of being directly on the water. This area is usually the domain of the owner who wants a private study to keep in contact with business, but a private sitting room may be more attractive to charter guests.

The vast bathroom area in the owner's suite is a lavishly-decorated oasis of marble and wood, flanked on either side by walk-through dressing rooms which lead into washrooms. Adjoining these two areas is a centrally placed spa with a large and deep bath to starboard and a shower cubicle and a separate head opposite.

Main Deck

The formal dining room and the lounge form a single saloon area on the main deck of MY-JO. The wood used for the interior on this deck is cherry, with off-white carpets and a cleverly concealed parquet dance floor. Large side windows allow light to flood into this room in the daytime and afford a great view of the sea. A pop up 42” plasma screen is linked to DVD , satellite and karaoke machines.

When the double doors of the saloon are slid back the feeling of space is even greater, as the aft deck becomes a continuation of the saloon. For those moon-lit evenings, guests can relax on the aft deck with cocktails before dinner or enjoy coffee and liqueurs afterwards.

To port is the servery, with a wine cellar for 60 bottles, a refrigerator, an icemaking machine, dishwasher and a dumb waiter that can serve the decks above. The servery leads forward into the galley, with panels of stainless steel and oak finishes. This area is a good size and has an excellent layout, with a preparation island in the centre and all the equipment required for a professional chef laid out around the edges. The galley is fitted for full charter service with Zanussi steam oven, electric oven, salamander, deep fryer, griddle, 6 electric burners, microwave, 2 large fridges; a full ‘walk in' cold room and freezer are on the lower deck.

Boarding via the main deck passerelle, guests can relax on the covered aft deck on a large built-in sofa, decorated with red and blue striped Ralph Lauren pillows allowing seating for 12, around a fixed teak coffee table.

Lower Deck

The four guest staterooms are situated amidships on the lower deck at waterline level and are reached by the main stairway that descends from the entrance hall on the main deck to a central lobby. All the bedrooms are finished with a predominance of satin cherrywood, but each features an individually themed décor with delicious fabrics in an exuberant mix of colours, used for upholstery, throws and scatter cushions, and supplied by famous design houses such as Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Versace and Mulberry.

The two staterooms set aft are furnished with queen-sized beds and are arranged conventionally with a small banquette seat and a desk/dressing table against the adjoining bulkhead.

Forward of the lobby, the two smaller staterooms have twin beds and an additional Pullman berth that folds out from the bulkhead. These are spacious cabins but will clearly provide less space for each guest if three people are sharing.

Upper Deck

The lounge has a bar area for serving drinks and a traditional juke box to play favourite records. The main feature of this room is a cleverly designed central wrapround sofa which faces the plasma television screen set between the glass entrance doors, giving the impression of a private cinema. However when the doors are open, there is a large alfresco dining area which is partially protected by the overhang of the sundeck. An oval table takes centre stage with its seating for 12 and a vast banquette that extends in three semi-circles across the aft end of the deck.
