Captain "Hollywood" Joe Alvarez is a permanent fixture in St. Thomas/St. John. Hailing from Miami, Florida "Hollywood" grew up in the Florida Keys where his parents owned and operated a fish camp complete with restaurant, campgrounds and bait shop. A former U. S. Marine Captain Alvarez was discharged in Puerto Rico. It was a natural transition to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. "Hollywood" spent ten years denying his love of the Virgin Islands. Chartering in Palm Beach and Cozumel, fishing in Costa Rica and Jamaica but it all kept leading him back to this true home St. Thomas. When Treazzure and "Hollywood" first met it was love at first sight. For the past two years Treazzure has been pampered, polished, sanded, varnished and improved. Captain Alvarez, also an accomplished Chef, welcomes you aboard Treazzure with a hearty laugh and an attitude sure to please.
Danielle Marie Dunscombe, the mate on board "Treazzure" came to the Virgin Islands and Captain "Hollywood" Joe in February of 2005. Learning everything from a "sheet line" to how to turn on a convection oven has been the primary task for two years. Danielle was raised in Colorado and later moved to Florida to be closer to her father a Jazz musician. (You can hear "Dave" (dad) or an Aunt or two on CD during your visit).
