Crew Profile
Bill was born and raised in Belgium. After high school, Bill started a degree in sports management until he took a summer off to do a dive master internship in Thailand. Soon after arriving Bill fell in love with the diving culture and being around the ocean and since then has never looked back! He went far beyond his divemaster internship and eventually became an instructor. He spent the next four years traveling and teaching diving around the beautiful islands of Asia. After a successful four years instructing countless students, Bill discovered a new passion of Sailing. He jumped right in and followed his passion to Spain where he spent 6 months training for his Yacht Master certificate. From there, Bill moved to Australia to further his sailing career. He spent the next two years captaining a 50 foot catamaran for the number one tourist company in Australia. Here he fell in love with taking out charter guests and being around people who are taking a break from their normal lives to have some fun! Ever since, Bill has been hooked on the yachting industry.
Ashley was born and raised in Tampa, Florida where she discovered her love for the ocean and watersports at a young age through snorkeling, fishing and boating. She attended college at Florida State University where she acquired a degree in Family and Child Sciences. After a year working at a preschool, Ashley moved to Australia to further explore her love for the ocean. There she did her dive master internship and like Bill was hooked. She went on to get her instructors as well to continue her passion for teaching. To supplement her diving income, she also worked in a high-end resort as a server and bartender where she gained valuable hospitality skills and a love for the service industry. Ashley has always had a passion for putting on events and entertaining guests, at this resort she was able to help put on wedding receptions and make sure the guests had a special experience. Ashley loves going above and beyond to ensure guests always have an unforgettable time and especially combining her hospitality skills with her love of the ocean, which has led her to the chartering industry.

If you are looking for a charter that creates a place of peace whether exhilarating adventures w hikes, dives/snorkeling, or serene bays and beaches basking in the sun Floatation Therapy along with its great crew is the place to be. They had fresh unique dishes and some fabulous favorites. Cappacinios with breakfast, simple snacks after snorkeling, appetizing lunches, more snacks if you like, and of course, opulent dinner followed by decadent desserts. And always on hand a cocktail or two or three! The crew, Mike and Sarah, helped us plan and create the experience we wanted. A getaway with no shopping, no work, low carb menu, and no stress. Beginning in Caneel Bay, snorkeling at Henley Bay (awesome), Trunk Bay - beautiful beach to bask in the sun (underwater snorkel trail interesting), Cruz Bay - off to our one dine out, Leinster Bay - hike up to Annaberg Sugar Mill (light hike, history, and butterflies among the Nokia trees), another beautiful restful visit to Caneel Bay among the sea turtles, then off to Salt Pond Bay - light hike through Salt Pond (a lesson in salt and ecology in itself) to Drunk Bay (a transition from simple beauty to splendid rock/ reef/fossil exploration) - with luscious mangroves, rolling green hills - a dramatic sea crashing among the rocks. Mike and Sara were stellar. They anticipated our every need, and responded to every request…immediately. Mike was an amazing bartender and skilled sailor and diver and Sara a very accomplished chef and all around fun interesting travel mate. They were relaxed and welcoming and made us instantly comfortable on board They went above and beyond to make this adventure everything we had hoped. I’d have to say it was a 10 (out of 5 stars) for us all. I wouldn’t change one aspect of our time on board! We recently chartered Floatation Therapy for six nights in the US Virgin Islands and we could not have been happier on our charter. Captain Mike and Chef Sara were absolutely exceptional and we loved our time with them. From the very beginning, it was clear that they wanted to make sure that our trip met the desires of the whole group. On our pre-call, they asked great questions, were professional and had great communication and were incredibly responsive. Throughout the entire experience, they both were friendly, professional, kind, calm and just really, really good people. They listened to us and created an itinerary that was exactly what we were looking for and made sure that every experience was a positive one – from reserving moorings, reservations, finding great snorkel and dive spots, recommending great restaurants, connecting us with taxi drivers, etc. They absolutely went above and beyond in every situation. Chef Sara’s food is incredible and she made some of the best food we’ve eaten. She baked bread (sandwich bread AND the most amazing banana bread we’ve ever tasted), made homemade pizza crust, created a wonderful blueberry compote from scratch, pickled her own jalapenos and just made everything wonderful without cutting any corners. Her salmon dish and curry pork dish were two of our favorites and we seriously commented after every meal how delicious the food tasted. I also commented that the meal table always got very quiet once the food was served because we were all loving it so much. Most importantly, Mike and Sara are just good people. We could not be more pleased with this while vacation experience. The boat and the USVI were beautiful, but Mike and Sara made this trip (and my 40th birthday) incredibly special. They were so kind and patient with our boys, keeping them busy, engaged and safe. The food was thoughtfully curated and super yummy! Bill and Ashley , Thank you so much for a wonderful trip. We super appreciate the accommodating way you managed Niams pescatarianism while still feeding me meat. Each meal made neither of us feel left out. We especially loved that amazing beach picnic, but each meal was a pleasure from the table setting all the way to dessert. Both of you were so lovely, thank you specifically for suggesting I should complete my PADI advanced open water certification. Bill was a great instructor and a pleasure to dive with. We appreciate him taking the time to plan a terrific dive itinerary while still leaving space for relaxation. I can honestly say that the service was above and beyond you were both a pleasure to get to know this whole trip was extraordinary. Bill and Ashley, This was a bucket list trip for our party of four. So we had no idea what to expect. From the minute we first stepped on board you guys treated us like we were royalty - waiting on us hand and foot. Ashley, the meals you prepared for us were so over the top we were just blown away. It was like eating in a fancy restaurant three meals a day. All of the attention you give to presentation, food quality, etc. was amazing. And your kind and generous personality was so endearing. Bill, we enjoyed watching you and Ashley work together as a team. And we loved hearing you describe the Islands, always preparing us for the next cool thing we would be doing. The knowledge you possess as a boat captain was incredible. But most of all we just enjoyed getting to know you guys. The trip of a lifetime! So glad our friends recommended Epic - Hannah guided us through the pre-trip panning, and Bill and Ashley took amazing care of us all week on Floatation Therapy! Ashley’s cooking was delicious - she took such good care to make sure everyone had what they needed, and we loved her creative table scapes at every meal - including a birthday surprise. Cocktails were yummy - highly recommend their Pain killers! It was a pleasure spending the Week with Ashley ana Bill, they are so easy going and personable. They really made our vacation so special- even teaching our teen girls to scuba dive! Already looking to ward to or next voyage with then! Dear Ashley & Bill, What an amazing week we had, thank you! There wasn’t a detail overlooked, or an adventure missed, or a meal that wasn’t done to perfection! You went above and beyond, and yet made it look so very effortless. Your knowledge of the BVI, and all the amenities on the boat, led us to enjoy absolutely everything we wanted to in our short week… from diving to hiking, snorkeling to shelling, sup’ing to fishing, and even a little bar hopping! We fit it all in without having to make any big decisions or contemplate where we would go each day. Thank you! The greatest gift to us was being together as a family, disconnecting from the world and getting to know and enjoy the two of you. You are so very skilled at what you do. The meals, snacks, and fancy drinks exceeded all expectation! I’m not quite sure how you pull it off in that tiny galley, and yet each meal was five star, plated to perfection, and delicious. You quietly accommodated our dietary restrictions, and not just during main course, but dessert too! Mr. Bill & Mrs. Ashley We’ve enjoyed this trip so much! It has been a dream of ours to share the BVI sailing experience with our kids and the week has been filled with so many core memories. Ashley, you’re cooking is a dream! Every meal was perfectly planned and we appreciate your special meals for our little Andie girl so much. The kids will never forget your cheesecake, and diving down to find them sea creatures. Mr. Bill, thank you for being so patient and sharing your knowledge of these waters and sailing. We feel like we hit the jackpot for our boat crew. I hope we’ll get to do another journey someday and wish you the best of life over these next few years as your journey continues! April 2024 BVI Charter Dear Captain & Chef Ashley Thank you SO very much for a fantastic week sailing the BVI! This was a bucket list trip for my husband's 40th birthday and we couldn't have picked a better crew for us and our three kiddos. We hit all the spots and the snorkeling was the best - no one wanted to get out of the water - so many fish, stingrays and octopus- CRAZY! We sailed all types of waters - huge waves (the kids loved bouncing around), smooth evenings, wind and some rain ( Soggy Dollar - everyone enjoyed swimming with rain drops in the sea!) - we encountered it all - it was a blast! Bill thanks for navigating the seas, letting the kids drive the boat and anchoring at all the best spots! The kids loved to ask you one million questions - thanks for answering all of them! Chef Ash- you are incredible! I don't even know what to say to capture your attention to every meal, snack and drink- it is high end, filled with flavor and ambiance- EVERY SINGLE meal! You went above and beyond making breakfast with the kids, letting them help with dessert and even gave us a "date night" . How special it was to have you on our first charter!
