Captain – Ian Robertson
Nationality – British
Ian started his yachting career in 1987 aboard M.Y. Lazy Devil and enjoyed adventurous cruising on the Amazon and Orinoco rivers in South America. Since then Ian has followed the more traditional yachting routes of the Mediterranean and Caribbean aboard Motor Yachts Leander, Katrion, and Virginian. Ian is greatly enjoying being back at sea and onboard M.Y. JO having spent 2 years overseeing the build of an 80m in England. Aside from yachting; golf, tennis, marathon running and snowboarding feature strongly in Ian’s pastimes. |

Captain – Bruce Handyside
Nationality – British
Bruce started in yachting in 1996 completing his first trans-Atlantic on S/Y Jasali. From Jasali he moved up through the ranks working on yachts such as Samax and Faribana before resuming command on M.Y Blue Shadow C at the end of 2003. Bruce has extensive cruising experience in the Mediterranean, Caribbean seas, Bahamas, Florida coast and the Red Sea as well as in South East Asia. |

Chef – David Beltran
Nationality – Spanish/Switzerland
David started as a Chef in 1996, a career that spans more than 20 years. Before David started in yachting, he worked predominantly in Switzerland and France in restaurants such as ‘Moulin de Mougins’ by Roger Verge; ‘The Palace Hotel’ in St Moritz and ‘Grand Hotel’ in Zurich. David joined the industry in 1996 working on M/Y Blue Shadow C where he has remained for over 10 years. Davids dual nationality of Swiss and Spanish has given him a good grounding in International Cuisine and allows him to converse fluently in German, Spanish, French, Italian and English. |

"Chief Stewardess – Sarah Clune
Nationality – Irish
Sarah’s four year yachting career has, so far, seen her working on Motor Yachts Talitha G, Reverie and Islander. She has completed busy Caribbean and Mediterranean seasons. Originally from Ireland, she has lived in several different countries including Jordan, England and France. Her passion for travel and experience abroad has led her to complete a degree in European Business and French. |

First Mate – Remo Mayer
Nationality – Switzerland
Remo started in the industry in 1998 as a deck hand before he was promoted to First Mate on M.Y. Bliss where he remained for the past 5 years. He has extensive cruising experience in the Mediterranean and Caribbean Seas, as well as the United States, Mexico and Alaska. Remo enjoys diving and is a skilled carpenter by trade. He is fluent in both German and English. |

Stewardess – Rebecca Barnes
Nationality – Australian
Rebecca joined yachts in April 2005, and has worked on M.Y. Achilles and S.Y. Athena. She has extensively sailed the South Pacific and Mediterranean. Prior to joining yachts, Rebecca was a Bar Supervisor and Bar and Dining attendant whilst obtaining a degree in Business Marketing in Brisbane, Australia. Her hobbies include diving, snorkeling and photography. |

Stewardess – Andrea Lewis
Nationality – Australian
Andrea, a newcomer to yachts, started in April 2006 on M/Y D’Angleterre II, a busy charter yacht. Before joining yachts, she was a live-in Nanny in the UK. She also has extensive experience as a Nanny, as well as working at Five Star Hotels, both in her native country. Before joining the yachting industry, Andrea was studying to be a registered Nurse and her interests are sailing, swimming and travelling. |

Bosun – Gareth Weston
Nationality – South Africa
Gareth has a degree in Advertising and Communications, but it was a career in the yachting industry that Gareth wanted to pursue. Gareth joined the industry in 2003; he joined us from M.Y. Reverie where he has spent time in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Gareth enjoys a variety of sports, but in particular, tennis, rugby and surfing. |

Chief Engineer – Peter Gosbell
Nationality – Australian
Born in the Pacific Island country of Papua New Guinea, Peter has grown up with the sea on his doorstep. Engineering & boats have always been a part of his life. He has been involved in yachting since 1993 and has enjoyed cruising interesting regions such as Antarctica, Patagonia, Galapagos Islands & Southern Russia. Originally trained as a Diesel Mechanic with Caterpillar Australia, Peter now holds a U.K M.N. Engineer Class 2 / Y1 Chief Engineers license and joined M/Y JO as a rotational Chief Engineer. During his leave, Pete will either be found renovating his newly acquired property in the South of France, travelling or hiking/skiing around the Alps. |

Second Engineer – Ryan Gibson
Nationality – Australian
After completing a 4 year apprenticeship in Marine Engineering, Ryan has recently joined the yachting industry with us onboard M.Y. JO. His interests include surfing, snowboarding, fishing and golf. |

Deckhand – Dave Stedman
Nationality – New Zealand
Dave started his yachting career in 1994 when he joined M.Y. Blue Shadow C for a season. He then returned to his home country, where he was a Financial Planner in Auckland. The call of the sea has brought him back to yachts, and he joined M.Y. Jo in March 2007. Daves interests include diving, sailing and kite surfing. |

Deck Hand – Mark Kaneko
Nationality – New Zealand
Mark was new to the yachting industry when he joined us onboard M.Y. JO. Before deciding on a career in yachting, Mark qualified as a professional bartender and worked in numerous well known establishments in his home town, Auckland. Outside of work Mark enjoys fishing, swimming, surfing and snowboarding. |
