HIGH JINKS SANYA 57 offers the luxury and comfort of a fine hotel. Wide staircases beckon to the tranquility and privacy of beautifully appointed cabins. The salon, with its soft colors and flexible seating areas is the perfect place, if you want to hide from the sun and yet not loose contact through the panoramic view with the outside world or if you just want to guess what kind of mouth-watering, delicious culinary delicacies your Chef is going to prepare for you. Captain Vangelis, with over a decade of experience at sea, brings an unparalleled blend of navigation expertise and technical proficiency to Highjinks. Serving as Captain since 2012, he’s adept at handling everything from the intricacies of navigation to swiftly addressing mechanical or technical issues. His hands-on experience extends beyond leadership; Vangelis personally maintains and manages a yacht fleet during the winter, giving him a keen understanding of resource management, budget control, and problem-solving on board. During the summer as Captain, he oversees the entire operation of the vessel, ensuring smooth coordination between the crew and high-quality service for passengers. Above all, Vangelis places the utmost priority on safety, ensuring that the crew and passengers are always in safe hands while adhering to maritime regulations and standards. With his steady hand at the helm, guests are guaranteed a memorable sailing experience of a lifetime!
Chef: Anastasios Lamprakis
Anastasios, born in 1971, brings a wealth of culinary expertise and uniqueness to the crew of Highjinks. With a Diploma in Professional Cookery, he has honed his skills through numerous specialized seminars, delving into Japanese and Oriental Cuisine, as well as mastering the knowledge and use of herbs. Since 2010, he has been a fixture in the yachting industry, showcasing his culinary prowess aboard various motor yachts as a seasoned chef. He is organized, adaptable to different kitchen environments and has a wide repertoire of cuisines to offer. Fluent in Greek, English, and German, Anastasios not only crafts delectable dishes to different guest preferences but also ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere on board through easy communication with his guests, elevating their dining experience to the fullest!
Stewardess/Deckhand: Sophie Stamatakopoulou
Sophie is a dynamic and enthusiastic member of the Highjinks crew, bringing with her a strong background in hospitality and guest service, along with growing yachting expertise. She joined the team as a Deckhand/Stewardess and has proven herself to be both reliable and adaptable, with a professional attitude and a keen willingness to learn.
Sophie has worked in the past both as a Hostess and Deckhand/Stewardess, showcasing her flexibility and commitment to maintaining high standards on board and gaining hands-on experience with interior duties, guest care, and housekeeping.
Her hospitality foundation is built also on years of experience ashore, across both summer and winter seasons. Sophie also operated a family restaurant, where she developed her strong sense of service, attention to detail, and warm, guest-focused demeanor.
Polite, motivated, and approachable, Sophie is passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences and continues to expand her skills in the yachting industry. Her professionalism and enthusiasm make her a valuable asset aboard Highjinks. She speaks Greek and English fluently and has basic knowledge of German.
