Crew Profile
Christian grew up dreaming of one day becoming a captain. Having a father in the boating industry along with a mentor allowed Christian to acquire skills and knowledge faster and more in depth than any classroom could have offered. He realized his dream, and achieved his goal spending as much time as possible exploring above and below the waters he travels. His adventurous and fun spirit will lead all passengers on a journey they will thoroughly enjoy, especially those who want to experience the water sports One Love offers. Christian will take you to the most beautiful spots the USVI has to offer. Captain Christian Is qualified in all aspects with his Captains license, sailing and tow endorsements. As well as his STCW, AED and First Aid certification. Captain Christian enjoys guests who are interested and have questions or stories about sailing to join him at the helm. Captain Christian is a fun loving guy who loves to laugh and enjoys having a good time but also knows safety on a sailing vessel is first priority through simple but important rules to be kept on the vessel. That being said, Christian will make sure the entire trip is smooth sailing.
Laura is a “foodie” who jumped into the culinary world after climbing the corporate ladder and not finding the satisfaction she expected to feel. Trading in her corporate suits for bathing suits has been one of the best decisions she ever made because it led her to St. Thomas, Christian, and a life on the water cooking and sharing her passion and time with the guests of One Love. Laura has combined her interest in integrative nutrition and the love of cultural foods to create a menu that not only gives you a delicious experience, but harmoniously works with your body. So whether you are in need of a satisfying treat, soother for a seasick stomach, or fuel for that next drink, she will be able to create the ideal meal. She truly believes food is love and should be shared in love, which is exactly what she will do when you are on board! Laura will call you roughly a week before you arrive, so that she can personalize a menu that everyone will enjoy. Laura has completed the yacht Chef course in Ashburton.
Christian and Laura are also very creative and can help you get that perfect picture or put together an awesome video if you ask them. Their energy and love towards the islands is radiant and will excite you to explore all the places they plan for you. Given their adventurous nature, they have explored all the secret coves, hidden beaches, and untouched reefs. They will take you to picturesque places and provide memorable experiences- like thrilling water basketball competitions, snorkeling with a squad of Caribbean squids, and getting a family picture alongside turtles.
These two started their story as best friends, which evolved into an inseparable relationship. They both fully embrace this stage in life as a way to explore the world with the person they love and share that with as many people as they can. Their optimism and pure happiness is palpable to anyone around as they will welcome you onto One Love. Whether you are exploring the Caribbean as a couples retreat, family vacation, or necessary getaway, you will have a week-long experience that will become a lifelong cherished memory.

Dear Laura and Christian, Thanks for an amazing week. We loved seeing so many new fun spots. Thanks for joining in all our family card games. The food was awesome. Especially spider crab night, the best spider crab we have ever had! We loved all the snorkeling spots especially Salt Island. Our week on One Love was perfect and we are grateful for all the fantastic memories we made with our boys. Until next time! Meeting Laura and Christian was one of the best parts of the trip. Snorkeling was amazing, catching lobster and spearing lion fish are memories we will keep forever. The cave exploration was awesome along with so many other activities. We could not have picked a more perfect crew! Laura is a master chef and she never cease to amaze us with her creations. As delicious as they were each, and every meal was fantastic. Mahi, snapper, wahoo, shrimp and scallops, all prepared with an Asian flair! Our captain, Christian was equally amazing with his quick wit and skills. Always willing to share tips and advice on sailing and island activities. Favorite memory: Waterlemon bay, 5 course meals, pan fried fish, laughing, dancing, singing, ukelele, music, snorkeling sites, beach days, spike call, skipping calls, paddle board, coconuts, lobster, Flannigan, Dik Dik, desserts. Message: You two are amazing hosts. We have been on a a few other charters and nothing compares to One Love. We were comfortable at all times, never a dull moment. Favorite memory: Snorkeling!!! Everything brought different seascapes and fish not seen previously. Message: A wonderful trip from the moment we got on board. The cat was the prefect size for two couples and cozy. Plenty of spots for sun, shade and lounging. Laura and Christian were exceptional hosts. Professional, attentive, knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and flexibly. The skills of chef Laura were exceptional. Perfect vessel, perfect location, perfect crew, perfect week! Favorite memory: Sailing into 20-25kt wind Great to be back on the water sailing. We took a bare boat to the BVI many years ago. Nice to have a crew look after all the details. Enjoyed many new places. Much nicer than our fine romance experience of LI Sound. Christian is an excellent captain and Laura is a wonderful chef. Many flavors and presentations.
